K&L Construction was awarded the contract for the upgrades to the Greenbrook Water Treatment Plant in 2009. The project included an addition to the existing heritage designated building to allow for the treatment and distribution of drinking water. The entire facility treatment process was upgraded and/or replaced. Treatment processes included sand filters, granulated activated carbon, UV disinfection and associated chemical treatment. The high lift pumps and reservoirs were also upgraded. Project was built to be LEED certified.
